Calvin de Groot

My passion for racing began at a young age. As a toddler, I would race through the house with my ride-on car, always at full speed! I even made it into the F1 magazine with that little car. I often visited the Zandvoort circuit with my father, and at the age of six, I had my first experience with karting. Back then, I had no idea how deep this love for speed would go.

What once started as a hobby has now grown into a top-level sport. The speed, the excitement, the competition, and the challenge to prove that I’m the best — that’s what I live for. From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It’s my ultimate dream to be on that starting grid and reach the podium. I give 100% to achieve my goals, determined to get the very best out of myself.

PETN 6 and 7, a double-header!
PETN 6 and 7, a double-header!

It is time for PETN 6 and 7, a double-header! That means we are looking at a weekend with, as usual, practice on Friday and then 2 qualifying sessions and 2 races on Saturday and Sunday. One qualifying session and race on Saturday and one on Sunday. So there are a lot of points to be scored this weekend.

PETN 5, a challenging race!

Another busy weekend is on the schedule. After a long break, it is time to fight on the Ring again. After my crash during PETN 4, I have fortunately already completed many kilometres before this 5th race. So I actually do not suffer from the crash when it comes to my confidence. Of course, that one corner will be a little more exciting than the others, but I am sure
it will be fine. It promises to be a challenging race with unexpected moments, excitement and plenty of fighting!

It’s time for the next race in the PETN. After competing in the 24 Hours race in a BMW 330i and racing on the beautiful Monza circuit in the Porsche GT4 RS, I’m happy to be back in the familiar Porsche championship after such a long time. It promises to be a tough weekend with a lot of heat, but I’m ready for it!

Het is weer zover, ik mag weer racen. Nadat we als team bij de vorige wedstrijd een heel goed weekend hebben beleefd, ga ik met veel vertrouwen het raceweekend tegemoet. Het is namelijk tijd voor NLS-PETN3!  Het beloofd weer een mooi weekend te worden met goed weer.
